How Engage with Data can help you

I work with child- and family-serving organizations who are at the beginning of their data journey.

Where you are looking to help your team understand and use data better or need to demonstrate the impact your organization is having, I can help.

Who I love to work with

I love working with people who are passionate about service delivery but aren’t sure how to tell the story of what they do.

You see them every day in schools, non-profits, and social service agencies, and you know you’re making a difference.

They’re the ones who may feel nervous when the word “data” comes up but know that they need to use it to get more funding.

Does this sound like you?

Take the self-assessment on the right!

How many of these statements are true for you? You’re an expert on serving families, but you’re not a “data person.” You’ve been asked how many people you’ve served but didn’t know how to find the answer. You have years’ worth of sign-up forms and surveys but don’t know what to do with them. You stress out when funders ask you to report on previous success. If you checked off any of these boxes, I can help.

Ways we can work together

All Engage with Data services can be delivered virtually, in person, or hybrid.

Workshops

Interactive, customized trainings for child- and family-serving professionals or teams on topics related to data collection, tracking, and evaluation.

Coaching

Coaching sessions to help teams develop systems and processes that work for them, allowing them to build a culture of data and improve the effectiveness of their work.

Consulting Projects

Larger or longer-term projects, such as comprehensive needs assessments or program evaluations, driven by and responsive to the clients' needs.

This introductory workshop will aim to reduce participants’ fears around using data and help them understand all of the forms data can take. Participants will walk away with concrete tips for how they can look at data differently and incorporate it into their work.

In this interactive session, participants will assess their organizational practices to identify what data they are already collecting, areas that could benefit from a more data-driven approach, and ways in which their teams could incorporate regular reviews of data to improve the services they provide.

This workshop will give an overview of how to: conduct culturally responsive interviews and focus groups with clients or community members; identify themes across these discussions; and tell your organization’s story through the words of the people who matter most.

Workshops

I offer three types of workshops for child- and family-serving professionals and organizations.

The menu on the left provides more details about each category.

Not seeing what you need listed here? I can also design custom workshops for your team.

Coaching

Sometimes, you just need someone to help you figure out what to do.

Through a collaborative and interactive approach, I help teams identify their data needs, discover what data they already have, and figure out how to put it to work for them.

Whether you just need a couple of sessions to solve a short-term problem, or you are looking for ongoing support for implementing continuous improvement processes, I’ve got you covered.

Consulting Projects

For projects that require a bit more evaluation know-how, I work with teams to design a custom scope of work.

Consulting projects typically include conducting a needs assessment at the early stages of program planning, gathering annual feedback through surveys and/or focus groups, or conducting a full-scale evaluation of your program.
